Whilst the rest of the population swap low calorie recipes, ideas for losing weight, and exercise videos to watch those pounds drop off, all most of us seem to hear is people nagging us to eat more!

Whilst it seems a constant chore, there are many reasons why keeping on top of our weight is a good idea. It is well documented in many studies that pwcf with better nutritional status do consistently better in studies survival-wise than those who are extremely underweight. Not only do pwcf struggle to absorb adequate nutrients, but we burn them up faster and this increases as the lung disease progresses. This is a complete pain as most of us struggle to eat more when we are unwell.

Keeping weight on is hard enough, let alone putting extra on, and whilst some factors are inescapable, there is actually a great deal we can do to try and help ourselves maintain a good bodyweight. It is important not to get hung up about the issue, but perhaps some of the tips in this section can be implemented into your daily routine and the support from fellow pwcfers might help with morale.
